Statement of the Timur Cultural and Social Association With deep sorrow, we have learned about the recent violent incident in Washington, D.
C.
, which resulted in the injury of two members of the United States National Guard.
This tragic and inhumane event has profoundly shaken the emotions of our community.
First and foremost, we extend our heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims of this incident and pray for the swift recovery of the injured.
We firmly believe that no justification can ever make such a violent and inhumane act acceptable.
The Timur Cultural and Social Association, as a civil institution, strongly condemns this attack in the harshest terms.
This was an entirely individual act, far from the values and beliefs of the human community, and those responsible must be prosecuted and punished according to the law.
The perpetrators of this violence must be identified and held accountable for their actions.
We also emphasize that this incident should not become a basis for negative judgment toward the Afghan community in the United States and other countries.
Afghans have been victims of terrorism and violence for many years, and millions of our people have lost their lives, homes, and futures because of this tragic phenomenon.
Afghans know well the heavy price of violence and therefore firmly reject it.
Our community is committed to human values, human rights, civil coexistence, the rule of law, and democratic principles.
We believe that only through dialogue, solidarity, and social cooperation can we build a safe and humane future.
Once again, we strongly condemn this horrifying act and stand with the people and government of the United States in support of the victims of this incident.
Timur Cultural and Social Association.
