Writer and literary scholar Olim Labib joined the event online and delivered a detailed presentation about the life, scholarly contributions, and literary works of Mawlana Lutfi.

He particularly emphasized Lutfi’s influence on the literary school of Alisher Navoi and his remarkable place in the literature of Turkic peoples.

Participants underlined the importance of such literary meetings in exile, noting their role in introducing classical heritage to the younger generation.

During the ceremony, young attendees recited poems by Lutfi Herawi, adding an artistic spirit to the event.

At the conclusion, organizer Shafi Begoghli expressed gratitude to the participants and shared his intention to continue hosting such gatherings in the future.

Who was Mawlana Lutfi Herawi? Mawlana Lutfi Herawi was born in the 9th Hijri century in Dehkinar village of Herat province, Afghanistan.

He studied in the madrasas of Mashhad and Herat, later serving at the courts of Shah Rukh Mirza, Ulugh Beg Mirza, and Baysunghur Mirza.

Lutfi composed poetry in Uzbek (Chagatai Turkic) and Dari (Persian).

His works stood out for their high literary quality and profound meanings.

The great Alisher Navoi honored him with the title “Malik al-Kalam” (King of Words).

Lutfi’s poetry continues to be cherished across the Turkic world.

He passed away in Herat at the age of 99.
